Bangkok Trip 2009

This is the first trip i travelled overseas with my Dear. To Bangkok.. It was also a free flight there as i only had to pay for my hotel & expenses. Air ticket was sponsored by Dear as Valentine Gift.

We planned a 4 nights trips. Departed from Singapore on 26th Feb at 710pm Jetstar 3K513 and reached Bangkok at SG 915pm. We had actually booked 3 nights stay at Biayoke Sky Hotel, 27th check-in & 2nd Mar check-out. But we was to be there for 4 nights.. Where are we going to stay on the first nights?

No worries... We arranged to stay his father place at Shamrong for the 1st night. It was a 3 storey shop house newly built. Did not went anywhere on the first night but went straight back to the house after having a meal at Foodland.

Day 1 ~ 27th Feb

Wake up and went have kway chap with his father & auntie.
We than went temple for a visit but end up going 2 temples before reaching the correct one. It was a temple that allow us to enter the buddha's inner shell and see/feel heart.
We than proceed to check in the hotel at BBK 2pm. The room this time was not as big as the first time i went. After the check in, we started our shopping spree.
Went to MBK for the first day. Dear wanted to tailor a suit as it was known to be cheap. Hence after seeing a few shop, he decided to tailor 2 pants at the shop just outside our hotel entrance at the cost of Bhat 2200. Ended the night at around BBK 11pm.

Day 2 ~ 28th Feb

Early morning after having our sumptous breakfast we went down to the tailor shop to try dear's pants. He also decided to tailor a jacket at Bhat 2000. After that we went shopping at pratunum wholesale market & platinum fashion mall. It was a long shopping... Dear was exhausted. We than went back hotel for a rest and also for dear to try his pants & jacket. After that we went Black Canyon for our dinner.

Day 3 ~ 1st Mar

As normal we wake up and had our breakfast. After the breakfast, i went to the hotel salon to do my pedicure. We than went for Dear's jacket fitting. However the cutting was not that ideal hence it was sent for alterations again. We than went shopping again at platinum & Centrepoint. As we arranged to meet his family for seafood dinner. We only shop till 3pm and meet them to go chinatown for a tour and we also went the market there to get the food items that his grandmother requested for. After that we went for our seafood dinner.. A simple feast. However compare to last time the one i went with UOB colleague, the previous one was better a lot. As night fall, we went back to hotel by a free ride in his relative's lorry.

Day 4 ~ 2nd Mar

The day that we are supposed to go home. Time fly fast sia... It is the 5th day already. We did not went for the hotel breakfast today. Instead his father & auntie went to enjoy it. After eating for 2 days, we decided to go out and try some other thing. However his father bought the thailand soya bean milk, bbq chicken stick & you tiao for us to try. The soya bean milk & you tiao is nice. However the chicken stick doesn't seem fully cooked hence we gave it up. We than went centrepoint planning to do my massage. However to my disappointment the staff only come in one hour after the shop open door which is 11am instead of 10am. I decided not to wait and we went back to hotel to pack our stuff and prepared to check out. After checking out, we went back to centrepoint and i went for my herbal ball massage. This time the massage was not as good as the previous time i visited. After the massage i met up with dear and we went back for a meal at MK Restaurant. It was a ala carte steamboat. Quite delicious and price was reasonable as compare to singapore. We than went back hotel to collect our luagge and proceed to airport to catch our flight.

The trip ended just like this.. Fast ... The few days there was really shiok. Wake up, eat, shop & relax. Need not worry about anything. If life was able to go on like this it will be fantastic..
