Melaka

A weekend getaway with my office colleague to Melaka. Stayed at Bayview Hotel in Melaka. Compared to Hotel Puri which i stay previous, i would prefer Hotel Puri located at Jonker street as it is nearer to shopping area.

Along the way, fun was not missed. We had singing session. A interesting and fun bus trip.

We reached hotel and settle down on saturday evening 5.30pm. Went out of the hotel to take a look at the surrounding. We than met the others for dinner @ 6pm.

What's for dinner? Of course is the traditional Nonya Food. The dishes was spicy. But not as nice as the one i had at Jonker Street - Perankan Restuarant.

What's after dinner? Shopping of course. We went to Makota Shopping Parade. Whereby there is several shopping centre around there. Went for a 2 hours shopping and we met to walk to the Jonker Street Night Market. Some colleague whom went to the night market before us, proceeded to Makota shopping centre instead. Feedback from them is crowded at the night market. Reaching there indeed was quite crowded, however still walkable. We also tried the famous local cendol at one of the shop houses. But to my disappointment again, it was not as nice as San Su Gong's cendol. We than proceed to meet phyllis & her boyfriend at the end of the night market.

After waiting for half an hour, we finally saw them. What's next? haha.. It is 11pm in the night, time to go back hotel? Of course not.. We than find our way to the famous satay celup located at Ong Kim Wee Road. After 15 to 20 mins, we finally found the shop. It was interesting. Steamboat style however instead of soup, we had satay peanut sauce. In total we ate 120+ sticks. After supper, is time to go back hotel, however we seem lost. haha...

Asked a few people, and slowly walk our way back to the hotel after 30 min. The night finally ended at 12.30am.

The next morning 8.30am - time for a small breakfast. As we planned to have chicken rice at 9am. After breakfast, we went to try the chicken rice ball, to my disappointment again. The dish was not nice. Sian...

Proceeded to the shopping mall for a last min shopping. However, we did not really buy anything. It was simply a relax and do nothing getaway.

Return back to hotel at 12pm and check out. And it's time for lunch at Dragon Chinese Restaurant. After lunch, we proceeded back to Singapore, our home.

Conclusion, a fun bus trip, yet disappointed food and activities.
