| Princess Beryl Goh Min Qi ~ Day 13
 It has been 13 days since the arrival of Beryl. My sweet cutie chubby Princess.
Admitted into hospital on 29th March 2012 4am. After 9 hrs of pain, Beryl finally popped out of my tummy on 12 plus noon. A smooth yet painful delivery. Unable to describe the feeling with Beryl arrival. Today is the 13th day of Beryl into our world. A family of 3!! Beryl is a big eater! Just like the daddy... First few day of her arrival i would only need to latch half an hour for each of her feed. Upon back home on day 3, she slowly increased her appetite. In just a few days time, she increased her consumption from 60 ml to 100 ml. In the 2nd week, she increased her consumption to 120ml. A big appetite. Tried latch on for the first week however slowly due to her fierce and big appetite, i am unable to latch her well and she required more than an hour latch on for each feed. This is tiring. Eventually, i changed to express of breastmilk for her consumption. Bottle feeding was not recommended for new borns. However due to her volume of intake, i had to bottle feed more than latching on. Tried latching on when we was out for checkup. However in total it takes up to 2 hours to latch her to partial full. In a few weeks time, Beryl will be 1 month old. |
